Information We Collect

Account information

When you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, and encrypted authentication credentials managed through Supabase Authentication. Passwords are never stored by SleepBloom in plain text.

Baby care information

You choose what information to enter into SleepBloom. This may include:

• Baby name and date of birth
• Sleep sessions and nap reminders
• Feedings and diaper changes
• Growth measurements
• Care notes
• Family sharing information

This information exists solely to provide the features of the application.

Profile photos

If you upload profile photos, SleepBloom stores those images securely to personalize your experience. Photos are never sold or shared for advertising.

Family sharing

If you invite another caregiver, SleepBloom stores the invitation email address, family membership information, and user permissions. This allows authorized caregivers to securely share information for the same child.

AI Assistant conversations

When you interact with the SleepBloom Assistant, the messages you send and receive are stored to provide conversation history and improve your experience. The AI assistant is intended for informational purposes only and does not provide medical advice.

Device information

We may automatically collect limited technical information, including device type, operating system, app version, crash information, and performance diagnostics. This information helps improve app reliability.

Location information

If you grant permission, SleepBloom may access your device’s location solely to determine the appropriate local time zone for accurate scheduling and sleep tracking. SleepBloom does not continuously track your location.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, SleepBloom may send reminders related to baby care activities, such as nap reminders or other scheduled events. You can manage notification permissions and preferences through the app, where available, and in your device settings.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Synchronize your data across devices
• Enable family sharing
• Provide baby tracking features
• Generate reminders
• Power the SleepBloom AI Assistant
• Improve app functionality and diagnose technical issues
• Protect against fraud and unauthorized access

Authentication and Security

SleepBloom uses Supabase Authentication to securely manage user accounts. We implement industry-standard safeguards, including:

• Secure HTTPS encryption
• Row-Level Security (RLS)
• Authentication tokens and access controls
• Encrypted cloud storage

Only authorized users may access their family’s data.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We only share data:

• With caregivers you explicitly invite
• With trusted service providers necessary to operate the app, such as Supabase
• When required by applicable law

Data Retention

Your information remains associated with your account until you delete individual records, delete your account, or retention is required by law. Deleted information may remain in encrypted backups for a limited period before permanent removal.

Children’s Privacy

SleepBloom is designed for parents and caregivers. The app is not intended for use by children under 13. Information entered about children is provided by parents or authorized caregivers.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, including California, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and other jurisdictions with applicable privacy laws, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information. These rights may include the ability to:

• Access your information
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your account or stored records
• Withdraw permissions or consent, where applicable
• Request a copy of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing

Deleting Your Account

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information by using the account-deletion feature within the app, if available, or by contacting us at support@getsleepbloom.com.

Some information may be retained when required by law or reasonably necessary for legitimate security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or enforcement purposes. Information in encrypted backups may remain for a limited period before permanent removal.

Third-Party Services

SleepBloom uses trusted third-party providers to operate and support the app, including:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and storage
• OpenAI — AI-powered assistant functionality, where applicable
• Expo — application infrastructure, updates, and build services

These providers process information only as needed to provide their respective services and are subject to their own privacy and security practices.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When material changes are made, we will update the Effective Date above. Continued use of SleepBloom after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
